Dr. Wayne Hoeft (pronounced Hoft) has been a Low Vision specialist in Optometry since 1959. He was a pioneer in the field since initiating the specialty of Low Vision in southern California. He has received many awards and honors for his contribution to the advancement of Low Vision care for the partially sighted. His office, in Burbank, CA, is a small family-oriented practice, with his son, Dr. Craig Hoeft. He is a professor Emeritus at the Southern California College of Optometry, having retired from that institution after 41 years of teaching his beloved specialty of Low Vision care to many doctors in the southern California area, who graduated from this College.
